Chester Bridge Demolition Livestream

(Chester) Missouri Department of Transportation officials will provide a livestream broadcast of the demolition of the old Chester Bridge September 28th. An Area Engineer with MoDOT, Corbin Carlton, says the livestream event can be viewed at facebook.com/MoDOTSoutheast.

According to Carlton you can view the event live, on location, at the boat landing on the Illinois side of the river. The City of Chester will provide bus transportation from Cole Memorial Park at 100 Pool Drive and Cohen Complex at 3402 Bodes Lane. The implosion of the old Chester Bridge will take place at 8:30 am. Missouri Route 51, and Illinois Route 150, will be closed for the demolition as well as all roadways within 1,000 of the explosion.

The Chester Chamber of Commerce announced the winner of the raffle where one lucky person will press the button to implode the old Chester Bridge. The winner,  Linda Sympson,  won the raffle, but she passed along the opportunity to former Chester mayor, Tom Page.
