A funeral will be held Friday, October 28, 2011 for 91-year-old Virginia McDowell of Fredericktown who died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Stockhoff Nursing Center in Fredericktown.

She was born June 24, 1920 in Oak Grove, the daughter of Charles and Bessie (Brown) Pogue who both preceded her in death.

She married Charles Henry McDowell on April 1, 1947 in Doe Run. He survives in Fredericktown.

She is also survived by two sons: Daniel McDowell (Rhonda) of Granite City, Illinois and Ray McDowell of Frohna; a daughter: Nancy Glass (Jim) of Ste. Genevieve; a sister: Hazel Robinson of Fredericktown; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son: Charles Wayne McDowell, a sister: Lois King; a brother: Wendell Pogue and two infant brothers; a grand daughter, Stephanie Spotanski.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

A funeral for 91-year-old Virginia McDowell of Fredericktown will be held at 11am Friday, October 28,2011 at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Fredericktown.
