Ruth Marie (Harper) Black, 94, of Perryville, MO died October 23, 2017 at Estates of Perryville in Perryville, MO.

She was born June 29, 1923 in Anthonies Mill, MO, daughter of Clara Mabel (Harper) Noe. She and Robert Lee Black were married on July 8, 1972. He survives in Perryville, MO.

She had been a manager at Woolworths. She was a member of Pikes Peak Camera Club. She loved gardening, reading, spending time with her family and drinking "HOT" coffee.

Other survivors include three daughters and one son, Barbara J. Vickers of Mansfield, TX, Lawrence E. Tucker Jr. of Perryville, MO, Phyllis G. Chapman of Waldorf, MD, Constance J. Taylor of Coon Rapids, MN; three step-daughters, Mary Ann Hilmer of Madison, IL, Marjorie (Robert) Lutz of Edwardsville, IL, Anita D. (Pierson) Bunce of Elgin, IL; two sisters and one brother, Linn (Amy) Noe of Moses Lake, WA, Bernice Szcepanek and Casandra (Charles) Williams all of Granite City, IL; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Linda Kathleen Tucker; one sister, Delores Carson; one brother, Kenneth Noe; one granddaughter, Susan Gail Vickers; one great-grandson, Gregory L. Chapman III; one step-grandson; one great-great-grandson, Jaxyn Avery Mishler; three sons-in-law, Kenneth B. Vickers, Clifford H. Flaxbeard, Richard E. Taylor; one daughter-in-law, Susan Y. Tucker and two brothers-in-law, Joseph Szcepanek and Robert S. Carson.

Funeral service will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, October 27 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Gerold McBride officiating. Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

Memorials preferred for family use.
