William H. Bowman III
A funeral will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 for 74-year-old William H. Bowman III of Perryville who died January 1, 2017 at his residence.
He was born December 12, 1942 in St. Louis, the son of William H. Bowman Jr. and Sendia "Camille" (Ayers) Bowman who both preceded him in death.
He married Mary Ellen Doyle September 6, 1963. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by a brother: Terry (Kathy) Bowman of Flint Hill; two sisters-in-law: Wilma (Robert) Cashion of Perryville and Pat Wilson of Waterloo, Illinois; nieces and nephews: Tara (Brian) Twellman, Tyra Bowman, Karmen Bowman, J. Clifford (Geri) Wilson, Benjamin Wilson, Cherie (Steve) Zerwig, Polly Muehlberg; great-nieces and nephews: Avery Mae Twellman, Taylor and Kyle Bowman, Jimmi Wilson, Andy Wilson, Nathan Zerwig, Regan Zerwig, Amanda (Riley) O’Regan and Barth Muehlberg; step-nieces and nephews: Mike (Becci) Cashion, Debbie (Steve) Downey and Jeff (Sheryl) Cashion; step-great-nieces and nephews: Jonathan (Mindy) Cashion, Landis (Tyler) Cashion, Aubrey Cashion; step-great-great-nieces and nephews: Zachary, Dillon, Mallary, Jaxon, and Mason Cashion; many special friends and neighbors; and beloved friend and companion Katie.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Jim Wilson and William Doyle; a nephew: Joe Wilson; mother and father-in-law: Helen and William Doyle, a step-great-great niece: Nishia Bohannon; and a step-great-great nephew: Nathan Bohannon.
He had been a store manager for Katz Drug Store and Skaggs Drug Store.
He was an EMT and firefighter at the West Overland Fire Department.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Perryville Elks Lodge 2701, American Legion Post 133 Booster, Chester Eagles, NRA, and AmVets Post 94 booster.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 and 8-11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Young & Sons Funeral Home with an Elks Wake at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A funeral mass for 74-year-old William H. Bowman III of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017. The Rev Rich Wehrmeyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery.
Donations may be given to St. Vincent School, Scholarship Fund, or to Masses.
