Olga A. Ruessler

A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2011 for 92-year-old Olga A. Ruessler of Perryville who died January 9, 2012 at her residence.

She was born July 2, 1919 in Cape Girardeau County, the daughter of Adolf and Flora (Petzoldt) Ruessler who both preceded her in death

She married Herbert Ruessler on September 2, 1939. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1994.

She is survived by three sons: Leroy H. (Placida) Ruessler of Longtown, Donald (Mary) Ruessler of Perryville and Jerry (Linda) Ruessler of Perryville; two daughters: Barbara (Glennon) Moore of Perryville and Carole (Donald) Hager of Uniontown; a brother: Paul Koenig of Farmington; four sisters: Leona Thomas of Des Moines, Iowa, Esther Reisenbichler of Chaffee, Nelda Leinger of Bloomsdale and Olivia Yeagers of Humboldt, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren;28 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Melva Petty and Rosie Pierce.

She was a home maker member at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, L.W.M.L., Berean Bible Study Group and she loved bowling, gardening and quilting.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2011 and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 11th at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 92-year-old Olga A. Ruessler of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 11th, 2011 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Southeast Hospice, Serenity Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
