Milton Hecht A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 4 for 86-year-old Milton Hecht of Altenburg, who died December 31, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis. He was born July 14, 1925 in Perry County, son of Martin and Clara (Weseloh) Hecht who both preceded him in death. He married Aline Schmidt Oct. 24, 1948. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2009. He worked at Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis for 34 years. He is survived by two daughters: Nancy Hecht and Martin (Maureen) Hecht both of St. Louis, three brothers: Raymond Hecht of Cape Girardeau, Elmer Hecht of Frohna and Richard Hecht of St. Charles; a sister: Florence Gruenwald of Altenburg; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two sons; Dennis and David Hecht, three sisters and two brothers He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, US Navy WW II and Korean Veteran, and a former member of the V.F.W. Post 4282. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 3 and 6:30-9 a.m. Wednesday, January 4 at Young & Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg. A funeral for 86-year-old Milton Hecht of Altenburg will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 4th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. The Rev. Steven Dressler will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside service provided by V.F.W. Post 4282. Memorial Preference; American Cancer Society |
