A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 11^th, 2012 for 71-year-old Joseph P. King of Perryville, who died Sunday, January 8^th, 2012 at his home.

He was born February 11^th, 1940 in St. Louis, the son of Eugene and Josephine (Bonzani) King. They preceded him in death.

He married Barbara Merz May 20^th, 1967 in St. Louis. She survives in Perryville.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas (Carolyn) King, Mark ( Jessica) King, all of Perryville; three daughters, Pam (Duane) Tarrillion, Paula ( Marty) Ernst, all of Perryville, Patrice &(Chad) McIver of St. Peters, MO; two brothers, Gene King, Vernon King, both of St. Louis; three sisters, Margaret Caldwell, Annie Gates and Ginny Wehrman, all of St. Louis; eight grandchildren, Amber, Vince, Courtney and Nick King, Madeline and Samantha Ernst, Sara McIver and Drew Tarrillion.

He was an Aviation Engineer working for Sabreliner Corp. He was an Army veteran and also a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, January 10^th, with Parish prayers at 6 p.m. at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation continues from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 11^th at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass for 71-year-old Joseph P. King of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 11^th, 2012 at the St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. The Revs. Tony Dattilo and Daniel Merz will officiate.

Burial will follow in the St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be provided by American Legion Post 133.
