Chester Clemens A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2012 for 84-year-old Chester Clemens of Perryville who died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.
He was born September 21, 1927 in St. Louis, the son of Raymel and Anna (Kramer) Clemens who both preceded him in death. He married Dolores Menke June 27, 1953. She survives in St. Mary. He is also survived by three daughters: Tonna Clemens of St. Mary, Carrie (Larry) Pourney of Perryville and Sherry (Alan) Wichern of Perryville; a son: Timothy (Jeri) Clemens of St. Mary; a brother: Raymel Clemens of Warrenton; nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a sister: Ethel LaGarace and two brothers: Edward and Earl Clemens. He was retired from the street department in Overland. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of American Legion Post 133. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 24 and 6:30-9 a.m. Wednesday, January 25 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home A funeral for 84-year-old Chester Clemens of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ozora. The Rev. James Schaefer will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside provided by American Legion Post 133 and MO Delta Team. Memorials are preferred to family. |
