Judith Zita Kester

A funeral will be held Monday, November 21, 2011 for 67-year-old Judith Zita Kester of Bloomsdale who died November 17, 2011 at her residence.

She was born January 6, 1944 in Perryville, the daughter of Bernice Keller of Pevely and Ernest C. Bohnert who preceded her in death.

She married Monroe Kester. He survives in Bloomsdale.

She is also survived by a son: Zanescot M. (Tina) Kester of Valles Mines; a daughter: Wendi (Michael) Turner of Festus; three brothers: Ernest Borgen of Minneapolis, and Ethan and Edwin Bohnert both of Bloomsdale; three sisters: JoAnn Craft of Memphis, Tennessee, Jannette Nolan of Wentzville and Jennifer Baker of St. Mary; a step brother: Jerry Keller of Collinsville, Illinois; a step sister: Norma Jean Jones of St. Louis; four grandchildren: Mandy Kester, Zanescot Kester Jr., Michael Turner Jr. and Matilynn Kester; and one great granddaughter: "Josie Posie" Sansoucie.

She was also preceded in death by her step father; a grandson: Cotey; three brothers: Eldon, Erwin and Elbert; two sisters: Joyce Bohnert and Jayne L. Hill; two step brothers: William and Hubert Keller, Jr. and a step sister: Susie Keller.

She was a retired nurse's aide at River View Manor Nursing Home.

She was of the Lutheran Faith and was a poet, artist and avid gardener.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m.

A graveside service for 67-year-old Judith Zita Kester of Bloomsdale will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Concord Cemetery in Bloomsdale. Patrick Kemper will officiate.

Memorials are preferred for family use.
