A funeral will be held Monday, October 24, 2011 for 81-year-old LaVern S. (Hughey) Telle who died October 21, 2011.

She was born November 28, 1929 in Altenburg, the daughter of the Joseph and Sarah (Darnstaedt) Schmidt who both preceded her in death.

She married Joseph Glenn Hughey on September 4, 1949. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1986.

She married Clinton Scotty Telle on August 1, 1998, he survives in St. Louis.

She is also survived by three sons: Ken (Judy) Hughey of Manhattan, Kansas, Michael (Autumn) Hughey of Altenburg and Richard (Peggy) Hughey of Overland Park, Kansas; three step children: Duane (Brenda) Telle and Scott (Martha) Telle both of Troy and Donna (Bill) Baumhardt of Imperial; two sisters: Gertrude Lohmann and Sylvia Armstrong, both of St. Louis, and seven grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

She was a school cafeteria cook.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and L.W.M.L. and sang in the church choir in Altenburg.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, October 23^rd and 6:30-8:15 a.m. Monday at Young & Sons East Perry Chapel.

A funeral for 81-year-old LaVern S. (Hughey) Telle will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 24^th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. The Rev. Steven Dressler will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
