A funeral will be held Friday, October 21, 2011 for 84-year-old Herbert H. "Butch" Kaufmann, of Altenburg, who died October 18, 2011 at the Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

He was born November 13, 1926 in Perry County, son of Adolph Henry and Ada Susanna (Weinhold) Kaufmann who both preceded him in death.

He is survived by two sisters: Dorothy (Roland) Wachter and Pauline (Eugene) Roth, both of St. Louis; two brothers: Eugene (Carol) Kaufmann of St Louis and Hilmer (Verna) Kaufmann of Altenburg.

He was also preceded in death by a brother: Theobald Kaufmann.

He was a retired truck driver for LW Transfer and past co-owner of Appleton Feed in Appleton.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. and 6:30-8:15 a.m. Friday, October 21 at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.

A funeral for 84-year-old Herbert H. "Butch" Kaufmann, of Altenburg will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 21^st at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
