A funeral will be held Saturday, September 17^th, 2011 for 77-year-old Mary Esther (Porter) Allen of Perryville who died Wednesday, September 13, 2011 at her residence.

She was born December 16, 1933 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of Charles Franklin and Eva Lena (Frey) Porter who both preceded her in death.

She is survived by seven daughters: Virginia (Glenn) Martin of Ste. Genevieve, Rita Quick (special friend Terry Emmendorfer) and Debbie Ketcherside (special friend Glenn Pruitt) both of Perryville, Barbara (Mike) Knight of Scott City, Diana (Richard) Boland of St. Mary, and Pam (James) Abernathy and Paula (Terry) Schwent both of Perryville; a son: Tom (Roxanne) Allen of Perryville; three sisters: Elva (Albert) Staffen and Ruth (Lynn) Barron both of Ste. Genevieve and Leona (Patrick) Brandel of Perryville; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: James and Charles Porter and three sisters: Nadine Rayoum, Viola McClure and Ruby Staffen.

She was a retired custodian.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 77-year-old Mary Esther (Porter) Allen of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rev. Don Estes will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Southeast Hospice.
