Hubert G. ‘Butch’ Blaylock

A funeral will be held Monday, September 19, 2011 for 88-year-old Hubert G. "Butch" Blaylock of Perryville who died September 16, 2011 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

He was born January 19, 1923 in Perry County the son of Vester and Elsa (Knoll) Blaylock.

He married the love of his life Ruby M. Barks on June 2, 1946. She survives in Perryville.

He is also survived by two sisters: Dorothy Clifton of Port Orange, Florida and Mildred (Albert) Cearlock of Perryville and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son: Kerry Don Blaylock and a sister: Wilma Mueller.

He retired after 20 years as letter carrier and had worked at Blaylock Meat Market and Hutson's Furniture.

He attended and graduated from Perryville High School in 1942. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, National Association of Letter Carriers and a U.S. Army corporal serving in the South Pacific during WW II.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, September 18th and 6:30-10 a.m. Monday, September 19th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 88-year-old Hubert G. "Butch" Blaylock of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.

Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with military graveside by American Legion Post 133 and the Missouri Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church or School in Perryville
