A funeral will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 for 98-year-old Ruth C. Myers of Perryville, who died August 1, 2011 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born December 3, 1912 in Gravelton, the daughter of Judea Napoleon and Ada May (Boyles) Myers who both preceded her in death.

She is survived by three brothers: Carl Myers of St. Louis, Charles Myers of Perryville, and Raymond Myers of Ocala, Florida; a sister: Wanda Bollinger of Ste. Genevieve and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by five sisters: Edna Armbruster, Pauline Hoehn, Artie Myers, Melba Stroup and Veda Scott and three brothers: Clark Myers, Edward Myers and Rev. Wayne Myers.

She was a power machine operator and a supervisor for Ski Wear Clothing Manufacturing.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.

A funeral for 98-year-old Ruth C. Myers of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. The Rev. Thomas Handrick will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or Safe Harbor Hospice.
