A funeral will be held Monday, July 11, 2011 for 88-year-old Zita M. Strattman of Ste. Genevieve, formerly of Perryville who died Friday, July 8, 2011 at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehabilitation Center in Ste. Genevieve.

She was born March 2, 1923 in Silver Lake, daughter of Simon and Julia (Moore) Parres who both preceded her in death.

She married Floyd H. Strattman on November 30, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2005.

She is survived by a son Douglas (Mary Love) Strattman of Greenville, South Carolina; a sister: Rita (Gerald) Huck of Decatur, Illinois; two granddaughters: Erica (Shane) Phelan and Kelly (Joseph) Hall; and three great-grandchildren, Ava and Blake Phelan and Liam Hall.

She was also preceded in death by a son: Ronald and four brothers: Frederick, Joseph, Bernard and Vincent Parres.

She her husband were owner/operators of Crown Sales and Service Heating and Cooling in Ste. Genevieve.

She was a member of the Church of Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church in Ste. Genevieve.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 88-year-old Zita M. Strattman of Ste. Genevieve, formerly of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2011. The Rev. John Darin will officiate.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Serenity Hospice.
