A funeral will be held Saturday, July 16^th, 2011 for 88-year-old Verna Prost Esselman of Perryville, who died Friday, July 8^th, 2011 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 16^th, 1923 in St. Louis County, the daughter of Elliott and Zella (Hoffman) Prost. They preceded her in death.

She married Joseph Esselman May 2^nd, 1950. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a sister in law, Betty Prost of Belleville, IL; nieces, nephews and good friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Elvin Prost.

She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno.

Visitation will be from 8:30-9:50 a.m. Saturday, July 16^th at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Funeral Mass begins at 10 a.m.

The Rev. Bill Rhinehart will officiate.

Burial will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery.

You may make memorials to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Perry County Senior Center or the American Cancer Society.
