A funeral will be held Thursday, June 16^th, 2011 for 89-year-old Paul Theiss of Uniontown, who died Monday, June 13^th, 2011 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born August 7^th, 1921 in Wittenberg, the son of Paul and Clara (Hilpert) Theiss. They preceded him in death.

He married Helen Lohmann June 14^th, 1953. She survives in Cape Girardeau.

Other survivors include a son and daughter-in law, Virgil and Barbara Theiss of Cape Girardeau; a daughter and son-in-law, Eldeen and Scott Rose of Findlay, OH; three grandsons, William Paul Rose and Derek Rose and Matthew Theiss and a host of nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, Gilbert, Rev. Harry and Rev. Louis Theiss preceded him in death.

He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown where he served as Elder for six years and Treasurer for six years.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15^th, and from 6:30-8 a.m. Thursday, June 16^th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 89-year-old Paul Theiss of Uniontown will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 16^th, 2011 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown. The Rev. Paul Winningham will officiate.
