Mary Dell Brune

A funeral will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2011 for 90-year-old Mary Dell Brune of Perryville, who died June 16, 2011 at Independence Square in Perryville.

She was born April 28, 1921 in Hilderbrand the daughter of Oscar Henry and Mellie (Crites) Brune who both preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sisters: Verna Hobeck of Daisy, Jean Seems of Sun City, Arizona and Dorothy Buck of Parma, Ohio; two brothers: Clyde Brune of Sedgewickville and Kelly Brune of Friedheim.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Leo, Carl, Cleo and John Brune and two sisters: Loral Brune and Ruth Kutscher.

She was a first grade public school teacher in Denver, Colorado.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.

She was a Women's Army Corps WW II Veteran, and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Denver Teacher Association, National Education Association and Colorado Education Association.

Her decorations and citations include a Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon w/3 Bronze Battle Stars, 1 Philippine Liberation Ribbon WAAC Service Ribbon, 2 Over Seas Service Bars and Good Conduct Medal GO 108 Hq 1612 SCU 45

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 and 6:30-10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 90-year-old Mary Dell Brune of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rev. Thomas Handrick will officiate.

Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with Military Graveside Service provided by the V.F.W. and the Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran School.
