Frank W. Kaufmann A funeral will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011 for 78-year-old Frank W. Kaufmann of Uniontown who died Monday, May 23, 2011 at his home.
He was born August 4, 1932 in Altenburg, the son of Alfred and Mathilde (Weinhold) Kaufmann who both preceded him in death. He married Geraldine Steffens on September 24, 1960. She survives in Uniontown. He is also survived by two sons: Jeffrey Kaufmann of Pill City, Alabama and Jonathan Kaufmann of Perryville; three daughters: Lori (David) Franke and Kathleen (Jeffery) Bohnert both of Perryville and Michele Kaufmann of Uniontown; five grandchildren: Rebecca, Joel, and Aaron Franke and Eli and Rachel Bohnert; a nephew and cousins. He was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, great nephew and niece. He was a retired farmer and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, serving in various offices. He served on the Industrial Development Authority of Perry County and was a member of the American Legion Post 133. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2011 and 6:30-8:15 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Young & Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg. An American Legion wake will be held at 7 p.m. Friday. A funeral service for 78-year-old Frank W. Kaufmann of Uniontown will be held Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg at 10 a.m. The Rev. Steven Dressler will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Restoration Fund or United in Christ Lutheran School in Frohna. |
