Gary Burch

A funeral will be held Saturday, March 26th, 2011 for 64-year-old Gary Burch of St. Charles, who died Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011 at his residence.

He was born July 22nd, 1946 at Kaskaskia Island, IL, the son of the late Lee J. and Dorothy A. (Lawrence) Burch.

He and Diana S. (Siegmund) Powers were married on December 1, 2001. She survives in St. Charles.

Other survivors include three step-sons and a step-daughter, Jonathan Powers, Jeremy Powers and his special friend Sara all of St. Charles, MO, Jenny Lee and Brett Voelker of Wildwood, MO, J. W. and Mary Powers of Brentwood, MO; a brother John Burch of Pevely, MO and two step-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Sophia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Daryl Burch and Ronald Doza.

Mr. Burch was a car hauler for Jack Cooper Transport. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in St. Charles; Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree; booster member of American Legion and V.F.W. booster member.

Visitation for Mr. Burch will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, MO on Friday, March 25 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm, with a wake at 5:00 pm, and on Saturday, March 26 from 6:30 to 9:00 am.

A funeral for Gary Burch will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26th, 2011, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kaskaskia Island.

The Rev. Richard Kasznel will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Kaskaskia Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Humane Society or Food Bank of St. Louis.
