TG Missouri honored by Southeast Missouri State

PERRYVILLE -- TG Missouri Corporation is one of the region’s largest employers and is part of Toyoda Gosei North American, based in Troy, Michigan, a diversified manufacturing company and subsidiary of Japan-based Toyoda Gosei.

TGMO received the Southeast Missouri State University 2017 Distinguished Service Award at a special ceremony last month during the University’s Homecoming celebration activities.

TGMO develops and manufactures rubber and polymer based products such as steering wheels, airbag systems and other exterior/interior components for the automotive industry.

Marking its 30th anniversary, TGMO is Toyoda Gosei North America’s largest corporation, with about 1,700 employees, and nearly 1.8 million square feet on its 246-acre site.

TG Missouri is participating in ongoing discussions with Southeast Missouri State University and the University’s College of Science, Technology and Agriculture on a number of fronts, including co-curriculum course development, career placement, student-led projects, internships and corporate giving. For instance, with the recent creation of an undergraduate degree in engineering at Southeast, TG Missouri will be able to recruit engineering degree graduates.

"Technology is driving our manufacturing processes and we are helping to develop well-qualified candidates through a strong relationship with the University," said TG Missouri

President Todd Huber. "On behalf of TG Missouri, I greatly appreciate the University’s recognition for these collaborative efforts. It’s a win-win-win relationship for TG Missouri, the University and the students."
