Pro-life voters provide key election victories
JEFFERSON CITY -- The following statement is from Dave Plemmons, Missouri Right to Life PAC Chairman:
"Missouri Right to Life State Political Action Committee (MRL PAC) is thrilled to celebrate the victories of our endorsed candidates in Tuesday's Special Elections. MRL PAC is the electoral arm of Missouri Right to Life, the states most active and experienced grassroots organization for Life issues.
"Mike Cierpiot won the race for State Senate District 8 in Jackson County. As a State Senator, Mike Cierpiot will continue his work in protecting unborn lives and stopping the anti-life agenda of abortion corporations like Planned Parenthood. We applaud the valiant efforts of all those who stood by Rep. Cierpiot during this hard-fought campaign. Missouri Right to Life will be proud to work with him in achieving our mutual life-affirming legislative goals.
"The high-profile battle pitting current pro-life House Majority Floor Leader Mike Cierpiot (R) against the fiercely anti-life Hillary Shields brought out strong efforts from many factions. The strenuous work of the MRL PAC in getting the pro-life vote out was necessary to combat the underhanded liberal efforts from both the Jackson County Democratic machine as well as the complicit candidacy of an independent candidate.
"Also, MRL PAC endorsed candidate Herman Morse of Dexter won his special election for the 151st State House district with 70% of the vote. A pro-life conservative, Morse will take the legislative seat vacated earlier this year by Tila Hubrecht, a strong advocate for the unborn. We will be excited to work with Representative-Elect Morse in the next session.
"Through political advocacy, MRL PAC is one of the state's most effective and active election organizations. MRL State and Federal PACs work tirelessly to elect Pro-Life officials that are committed to making Missouri the safest state for the vulnerable unborn and their families. But as long as one innocent human life is lost, our work is not done."
