Farmington businessman to seek 116th state rep seat

FARMINGTON -- Farmington businessman, Dale L. Wright, has announced his candidacy for the Missouri House of Representative’s 116th District seat being vacated by Kevin Engler, who will be completing his final term in December 2018.

In announcing his run for the 116th district, Wright stated: "First I want to publicly thank Representative Engler for his service to the citizens of our area for the past fifteen years in both the Missouri House and Senate. He has served with integrity and commitment to our district and I am honored to have his support."

"After prayerful consideration and with the support of my family, I am announcing my candidacy for the 116th District of the Missouri House of Representatives. Because of my volunteer work through the years and my experience leading companies and balancing large budgets I believe that I am uniquely qualified to serve our citizens in St. Francois, Perry, and Ste. Genevieve Counties. This is an exciting opportunity to represent them, and I am grateful for the encouragement and offers of support that I have received from so many people including our local legislators, Representatives Engler, Mike Henderson, Rick Francis, Elaine Gannon, former Representative Paul Fitzwater, and Missouri State Senator Gary Romine.

"I look forward to meeting with and discussing the issues and concerns of the citizens of House District 116 in the course of my campaign. I ask for their vote so I can continue the work of protecting the unborn, eliminating extreme regulations that drive jobs out of our state, providing more affordable healthcare to our citizens, and providing compassionate assistance to those who cannot help themselves. Unlike our neighboring states, Missouri has a balanced budget every year, thanks to the courageous actions of our legislators. I will continue to support that responsible fiscal policy!"
