Rick Francis earns high praise from majority whip
JEFFERSON CITY – As the Missouri House of Representatives heads into its annual Spring Break with a long list of legislative accomplishments, House Majority Whip Steve Lynch is taking the time to praise the efforts of Floor Whip Rick Francis (R-145, Perryville).
Lynch said Francis has been a vital part of the legislature’s efforts to secure support for bills ranging in topic from substantive ethics reform to a reduction in job-killing government regulations.
Lynch named Francis to the Whip Team in January to assist in rounding up votes on critical issues and communicating policy positions to other members of the majority. As one of ten floor whips, Francis assists in informing caucus members on key issues and votes.
Lynch said Francis is a critical component in the effort not only to build consensus on priority pieces of legislation, but also to serve as a resource for members when they have questions about upcoming issues.
"It has been an incredible honor to work with Rep. Francis this year. He is someone who has been a huge asset to the caucus as he has worked hand-in-hand with members to bring them up to speed on the issues we have discussed," said Lynch, R-Waynesville. "This has been a highly productive two-and-a-half months, but we have much more to do before the clock runs out on the legislative session in May. I am thankful Rep. Francis is a member of our team because I know he will continue to help us advance our pro-jobs, pro-families agenda."
