Summer Registration a Breeze at MAC

PARK HILLS Ė With spring almost here, Mineral Area College is gearing up for the upcoming semester of summer classes. The summer semester begins June 5. Open registration is currently in progress.

MAC Registrar Pam Reeder said summer classes are popular because of the convenience, expediency, and affordability the four-, six-, and eight-week sessions offer students, especially those returning to their hometowns for the summer.

"Students who attend MAC classes between semesters from four-year universities are often looking for an accelerated class at a reduced price and thereís a better chance of smaller class sizes and one-on-one attention in the summer," she said. "In addition, summer classes are a great way for MAC students to stay on track to complete an associate degree in two years."

The eight-week summer semester begins June 5 and ends July 31. Four- and six-week classes are also offered in the summer and begin at various times during the semester. Many classes are offered evenings, online, or through interactive television in a MAC classroom. The summer schedule of classes is available at www.MineralArea.edu.
