PERRYVILLE – Highway 61 is now open at Highway AC and Moore Dr.
Motorists are advised that the Missouri State Highway Patrol has check points set up on Moore Dr. to help secure the area.
Beginning this (Friday, March 3, 2017) morning, if you have property or a residence that has been affected by this storm and you will be going through a check point area to get to your property, you need to make sure you have a wrist band or badge that has been issued from the Volunteer Center at the Perry Park Center.
This is for your safety as well as the safety of your property. The past few days some were allowed to show mail as a proof of residency. Given that some homes were completely destroyed and mail, identification, and financial information have been lost, we have no way of verifying with just mail.
Only one member of the household needs to check in at the Park Center to register all of those in the house. Volunteers will be available at the Perry Park Center in the Volunteer Center beginning at 8 a.m. to assist you in this process.
This will also give you an opportunity to advise workers what assistance you may need as well as picking up supplies for your household including water, snacks, cleaning supplies and totes.
Please bear with officials as they attempt to help secure everyone's property and try to ease the daunting recovery process.
