CEC battles storm related outages

PERRYVILLE -- The severe storms that occurred last night caused widespread outages in Perry County. As of 10:15 this morning, we still have over 1,000 members without power.

The storm downed approximately 57 three phase distribution poles, 20 single phase distribution poles, one 138kV transmission pole and numerous 69kV transmission poles.

In addition CEC is joined by crews from Central Power, Cuivre River Electric Cooperative, LE Myers, Northeast Power, Power Line Consultant, Sho-Me Power, Three Rivers Electric Cooperative and Townsend Tree Service.

While we have a total of 98 individuals working to restore power, we anticipate that complete restore time may be greater than one day.
