Rockwood Illinois man charged with burglary By Don Pritchard PERRYVILLE -- A 22-year-old Rockwood, Illinois man has been arrested and charged in connection with a burglary Sunday morning at a Perryville residence.
According to a Perry County Sheriff's Office news release, Daniel Luttman was arrested later Sunday after a suspicious person was reported walking along Highway 51 North towards Chester, Illinois. The news release states Luttman led police on a brief foot chase before being apprehended, but later took authorities to where he had hidden a .38 caliber revolver which had been reported missing following the burglary. The news release states authorities will be seeking charges of Class B Felony Burglary 1st degree, Class C Felony Stealing a Firearm, and Class Misdemeanor Stealing - Less than $500.00. He is also named in a warrant out of Louisiana for second degree battery. Luttman is currently being held at the Perry County Jail. |
