Marilyn T. Stolzer funeral notice

A funeral will be held Monday, July 21st, 2008 for 68-year-old Marilyn T. (Donze) Stolzer, who died Friday, July 18th at St. Louis University Medical Center.

She was born July 26th, 1939 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of Fred and Lorena (Meyer) Donze, who both preceded her in death.

She married Vincent H. Stolzer on July 14th, 1962. He survives in Ste. Genevieve.

She is also survived by two sons and daughters in law: Dale V. and Athena Stolzer of Dallas, Texas and Gary J. and Andrea Stolzer of Ste. Genevieve; a daughter and son in law: Cheryl A. and Eugene St. Clair of Ste. Genevieve; a brother and sister in law: Clem and Jo Ann Donze of St. Mary; and eight grandchildren: Abbie and Sam Stolzer, Daniel, Jake and Caity Stolzer, Devin, Nathan and Natalie St. Clair.

She was also preceded in death by a sister: Annette Donze.

She was a member of the Ladies Sodality of Zell.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 68-year-old Marilyn T. (Donze) Stolzer of Ste. Genevieve, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Monsignor James Hanson will officiate.

Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Zell.

Wilbert W. Wichern funeral notice
A funeral will be held Monday, July 7th, 2008 for 75-year-old Wilbert W. Wichern of Old Appleton who died Thursday, July 3rd at his residence.

He was born July 10th, 1932 in Uniontown, the son of Henry and Martha (Cornehlsen) Wichern, who both preceded him in death.

He is survived by three sons: Randy of Altenburg, Bradley of Old Appleton and Brian of Clarksville, Tennessee; two daughters: Susan McConnell of Altenburg and Renee Emerson of Altenburg; a brother: Melvin of Columbia and six grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by five brothers: Albert, Alphonse, Rueben, Rudolph and Henry and four sisters: Flora, Amanda, Alma and Juanita.

He was a retired truckdriver for Farmers Limestone.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Sunday, July 6th and 6:30-8;15 a.m. Monday, July 7th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel.

A funeral for 75-year-old Wilbert W. Wichern of Old Appleton will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7th at the Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown. Burial with military graveside service provided by the Delta Team will follow in the church cemetery.

The Rev. Paul Winningham will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church.

Ralph Robert "Rob" Beckerman
A funeral will be held Monday, June 16th, 2008 for Ralph Robert "Rob" Beckerman III of Ste. Genevieve, who died Friday, June 13th at his residence.

He was born June 24th, 1964 in St. Louis, the son of Ralph R. "Bo" Beckerman of Ste. Genevieve and Barbara L. (Belovich) Beckerman of Ste. Genevieve.

He is also survived by a brother and sister in law, Andy and Lisa Beckerman of Ste. Genevieve; two sisters and brothers in law, Chris and Anton Rabushka of Thousand Oaks, California and Julie and Sergio Fernandez of O'Fallon; seven nieces and nephews: Rachael and Andrew Beckerman, Alex and Nicholas Rabushka and Maria, Ann and Ava Fernandez.

He owned and operated the Steiger Haus for 18 years.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 15th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 43-year-old Ralph Robert "Rob" Beckerman of Ste. Genevieve will be held Monday, June 16th at 10 a.m. at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Valle Schools Foundation.

Melvin Valentine Hennemann
A funeral will be held Monday, May 12th, 2008 for 99-year-old Melvin Valentine Hennemann of Perryville, who died Friday, May 9th at Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville.

He was born February 14th, 1909 in Perry County, the son of Theodore and Mary (Balsman) Hennemann, who both preceded him in death.

He married Emma Boxdorfer on June 27th, 1931 in Chester. He preceded him in death.

He is survived by four sons, Kenneth Hennemann of Perryville, James Hennemann of Ste. Genevieve, Melvin Hennemann Jr. of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and Stephen Hennemann of Omaha, Nebraska; five daughters, Imogene Jokerst of Ste. Genevieve, Patricia Huber of Perryville, Laverne Mehner of Bloomsdale, Lawana Harlan of Birmingham, Alabama and Mary Jane Ranisveski of St. Charles; 36 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Wood, two brothers and two sisters.

He worked at the International Shoe Company and Sabreliner.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday, May 11th and 6:30-9:40 a.m. Monday, May 12th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday and the Rosary at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

A funeral for 99-year-old Melvin Valentine Hennemann of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 12th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Milton Ryan CM will officiate.

Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent schools.

Norman H. Steffens
A funeral will be held Monday, May 12th, 2008 for 85-year-old Norman H. Steffens of Perryville, who died Friday, May 9th, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

He was born April 27th, 1923 in Farrar, the son of Ernst and Rose (Versemann) Steffens, who both preceded him in death.

He married Irma F. Meier on January 25th, 1948. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Kenneth and Wanda Steffens of Cape Girardeau; a daughter and son in law, Kathryn and Clifford Stueve of Frohna; three sisters, LaVern Fox of Cape Girardeau, Edith Roth and Farrar and Virginia Guyott of St. Charles; three brothers, Arlan Steffens of Farrar, Cleo Steffens of St. Louis and Wayne Steffens of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Cory and Jessica Stueve, Kelly and Wes Corbert, Jeff and Karen Steffens and Shelly and Cliff Williams; and seven great grandchildren, Jacob and Carter Stueve, Kayla and Carson Colbert, Ben Steffens and Savannah and Ava Williams.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Verna.

He was a retired supervisor at Gilster Mary Lee in the mixing room.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, U.S. Army World War II veteran, Perryville Guard of Honor, American Legion Post No. 133, Berean Bible Class, Immanuel Lutheran Church Mens Club and Men's Choir.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, May 11th and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Monday, May 12th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. An American Legion Wake will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A funeral for 85-year-old Norman H. Steffens of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 12th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. The Rev. Thomas Handrick will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside service provided by American Legion Post No. 133.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or School Building Fund, Southeast Hospice or donor's choice.

Donald J. "Poppy" Hollars
A funeral will be held Monday, May 5th, 2008 for 74-year-old Donald J. "Poppy" Hollars of Ste. Genevieve who died Friday, May 2nd at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 1st, 1933 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Harvey Hollars and Lorene (Kreitler) Hollars, who both preceded him in death.

He married Joan M. "Mayma" Hollars on August 29th, 1953 in Ste. Genevieve. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.

He is survived by four sons and a daughter in law: Glennon and Tina Hollars of Ste. Genevieve, Richard Hollars of Atlanta, Georgia; Terry Hollars of Ste. Genevieve; Steven Hollars of Ste. Genevieve; two daughters and a son in law: Carol and Anthony Gianelli of Madison, Alabama and Donna Evans and her special friend Rick Henderson of Ste. Genevieve; a brother: William Hollars of Oklahoma; two sisters: Ethel Lee of Springfield and Marilyn Becker of Bloomsdale; nine grandchildren: Carrie Essner, Christy Hollars, Lacie Lorence, Ashley Hollars, Kelly Hollars, Jennifer Gianelli, Heather Evans, Kevin Evans and Eric Hollars and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Charles Hollars and three sisters: Betty Carron, Alice Hollars and Delores "Peachie" Stretch.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, May 4th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 74-year-old Donald J. "Poppy" Hollars of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 5th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Crestlawn Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.

Thomas A. Giannelli
A funeral will be held Monday, April 21st, 2008 for 91-year-old Thomas A. Giannelli of Ste. Genevieve, who died Friday, April 18th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 26th, 1916 in New Haven, Connecticutt, the son of James A. and Florence (Folk) Giannelli, who both preceded him in death.

He married Doris E. Mayfield on July 5th, 1950. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Tony and Carol Giannelli of Madison, Alabama; two daughters and a son in law, Christine and Patrick Walkup of St. Louis and Patricia Giannelli of Ste. Genevieve; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Gail M. Payeur and a sister, Patricia Proshansky.

He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 150. The Legion will gather at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Basler Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, April 20th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 91-year-old Thomas A. Gianelli of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 21st at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Crestlawn Cemetery.

Leroy F. Schumer funeral notice
A funeral will be held Monday, April 14th, 2008 for 82-year-old Leroy F. Schumer of Perryville, who died Friday, April 11th at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 22nd, 1926 in Poplar Bluff, the son of Edward F. and Clara C. (Schlattman) Schumer, who both preceded him in death.

He married Edna Mae Gillian. She preceded him in death.

He married Shirley Boxdorfer on October 22nd, 1982. She survives in Perryville.

He is also survived by four sons and two daughters in law: John and Nancy Schumer of St. Charles, James and Belinda Schumer of Perryville, Leroy F. Schumer of Ringold, Georgia and Edward A. Schumer of St. Charles; one daughter, Patricia Schumer of Ringold, Georgia; a stepdaughter, Robin R. (Donnie) Parmer of Perryville; a stepson, Jeffrey L. (Valeria) Gerlach of Ballwin; a brother, Charles Schumer of Cuba; two sisters, Dorothy Farishon of Hazelwood and Charles Schumer of Cuba; four grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and three stepgreatgrandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Schumer and a stepson, Danny Durkee.

He was retired as a printer for Gilster Mary Lee.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, member of American Legion Post No. 133 and the Merchant Marines.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Sunday, April 13th and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Monday, April 14th at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 82-year-old Leroy F. Schumer of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 14th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. The Rev. Christopher Cole will officiate.

A private burial for family will be held.

Simon W. 'Joe' Lukefahr funeral notice
A funeral will be held Monday, April 14th, 2008 for 67-year-old Simon W. "Joe" Lukefahr Jr. of Perryville, who died Thursday, April 10th at his home.

He was born February 28th, 1941 in Perryville, the son of Simon W. and Anna Marie Huber Lukefahr who preceded him in death.

He married Barbara L. Becker on June 11th, 1966 in Perryville. She survives in Perryville.

He is also survived by two sons: Jeffrey Lukefahr (and fiance Cheryl Herman) and Mark Lukefahr, both of Perryville; five daughters: Michelle (Billy) Schumer, Lisa (Terry) Wibbenmeyer, Tina Lukefahr (and fiance Bobby Kluender), Tammy (Phillip) Hacker and Jennifer Lukefahr, all of Perryville; two sisters, Mary Lukefahr and Sr. Joanne Lukefahr, both of St. Louis and a brother, the Rev. Oscar Lukefahr, CM of Perryville; and 19 grandchildren.

He worked for Winkler Plumbing and Heating until his retirement. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday at the Gathering Space at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

A funeral for 67-year-old Simon W. "Joe" Lukefahr of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Oscar Lukefahr, CM will officiate.

A private burial will be held.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul school system.

The Miller Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
