CHS crowns new Homecoming King and Queen

Chester High School crowned a new Homecoming King and Queen during ceremonies held over the weekend at the high school.

On Friday night, during halftime of the football game, senior Brooke Grah, daughter of Ron and Tammy Grah of Chester, was crowned the 2004 Homecoming Queen. Her Maid of Honor is senior Juli Koenegstein. Other Queen candidates were juniors Kristen Eggemeyer and Jenna Eggemeyer and senior Lacey Creason.

On Saturday night, during the studentís dance, senior Michael Tindall was crowned Homecoming King. He is the son of Mike and Rosie Tindall of Chester. The king runner up is senior Tyler Surman. Other King candidates were juniors Jimmy Winters and Tyler Search and senior Danny Valleroy.

Chester lost the homecoming game to Nashville 56-0 on Friday night. Before the game, people lined the streets of Chester for the annual homecoming parade, which featured class floats, bands from the high school and grade school, the king and queen candidates, retiring King Jesse Snider and retiring Queen Jackie Schmerbauch and the fall sports teams at CHS.

The CHS Classes of 1944, 1954, 1964, 1974 and 1984 held their respective reunions at various locations around town over Homecoming Weekend.
