Fern Weber

A private graveside service will be held for 89 year old Fern Weber of Chester, IL who died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Integrity Healthcare of Chester.

She was born May 2, 1928 in Chester, IL, the daughter of Vernon and Alma (Knoll) Wittenborn. Following her fatherís death, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Carl Breithaupt. She married Leonard Weber on September 6, 1946 in Chester, IL and he preceded her in death on October 11, 2017.

Survivors include four children, Lynn Stibrich of Gretna, LA, Mavis Gross of Foley, AL, Kevin Weber of Energy, IL and Brad Weber of Chester, IL. Two step-sisters, Carol Miner of Livingston, TX and Gloria Blackburn of Wesley Chapel, FL. Eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren also survive along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, husband, and one brother.

She had worked as the supervisor of timekeeping and payroll at Chester Mental Health Center.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, IL. By her example, she taught her children and grandchildren how to love their family and friends unconditionally.

It was Mrs. Weber wishes to be cremated.

A private graveside service will be held in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Chester, IL at a later date.

The family requests memorials be donated to the Radio Broadcast fund of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester which was started by her late husband, Leonard or to the New Facility Fund of St. John Lutheran School. Memorial donations are being accepted at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL.
