A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 for 22 year old Officer James Brockemeyer of Chester, IL who passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Chester.

James was born April 30, 1994 in Chester, IL, the son of Donald and Dixie (Bowen) Brockmeyer who survives of Chester, IL.

He had been a Police Officers for the Chester Police Department for 10 months. Before joining the Police Department; he had works for the City of Chester in the Gas Department. He also had worked parttime for Derek’s Lawn Service in Chester, IL.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester and the Randolph County Rod and Gun Club. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Chester Fire Department.

James graduated from Chester High School in 2012. During high school, he played football, basketball and baseball.

Also surviving is one sister, Megan Brockmeyer of Chester, IL. His fiancé, Lauren Hoops of Chester,IL. Maternal grandmother, Joleen Bowen of Chester, IL. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and brothers of Law Enforcement and Firefighters.

Visitation will be from 3:30pm to 8:30pm in Daniel Colbert Memorial Gymnasium at Chester High School.

Funeral service for 22 year old Officer James Brockmeyer will be held at 10am Thursday, November 3, 2016 in Daniel Colbert Memorial Gymnasium at Chester High School with Rev. Tim Sims officiating.

Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Chester, IL.
