A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 for 93 year old Verna Knott of Chester, IL who died Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Chester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Chester, IL.
Verna was born July 1, 1922 in Steeleville, IL, the daughter of Louis and Ella (Goetting) Brase. She married Vernon Knott on October 11, 1946 in Bennettsville, South Carolina and he preceded her in death on July 22, 1986.
Survivors include two children, Gary Knott of Patton, MO and Sharon Vogt of Columbia, IL. Seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son – Dale Knott, one son-in-law - Bernard Vogt, one grandson – Eric Vogt, one sister – Norma Uchtman and brother in law – Norris Uchtman.
Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm Monday, February 1, 2016 and after 7:30am Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL.
A funeral service for 93 year old Verna Knott of Chester, IL will be held at 10am Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL with Rev. Tim Landskroener officiating.
Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery, just outside of Bremen, IL.
