Carroll "Rocky" Bridges

Former longtime Chester High School athletic director, teacher and coach Carroll "Rocky" Bridges passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at his home in Chester.

Rocky was born April 7, 1938 in Du Quoin, the son of Leslie and Thelma (Bramley) Bridges. He married Ina King on September 3, 1960 in Dowell, IL and she survives of Chester, IL.

Rocky is survived by his mother Themla Bridges of Chester, IL, his wife Ina of Chester, IL, two children, Scott Bridges of Murphysboro, IL and Lee Ann Spiller of Willisville, IL. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 3pm to 8pm on Friday, October 24, 2014 and after 7:30am Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL.

Funeral service for Rocky Bridges will be held at 11am Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL with Rev. Charles Allen officiating.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin, IL.
