Ethel Ann Horton
A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 for 90 year old Ethel Ann Horton of Chester, IL who died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at her home in Chester, IL.
Ethel was born November 26, 1922 in Belgique, MO, the daughter of William and Ella (Mattingly) Moll. She married Clyde Asbury on March 4, 1943 and he preceded her in death on December 25, 1974. She then married Graham Horton on June 15, 1978 in Murphysboro, IL and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2009.
Mrs. Horton was the owner of the Hi-3 Motel in Chester, IL for 18 years.
She is survived by one son, Mitchell Asbury of Percy, IL and two step-sons, Greg Horton of Collinsville, IL and Eric Horton of Detroit, MI. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, six brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm Tuesday, January 22, 2013 and from 7:30am to 9:45am Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL.
A funeral for 90 year old Ethel Horton of Chester, IL will be held at 10am Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, IL with Father Gene Wojcik and Father Jeff Moore officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School in Chester, IL or in the form of Masses.
