Charles "Charlie" Marcinkowski
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013 for 82 year old Charles "Charlie" Marcinkowski of Chester, IL who died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Charles was born July 3, 1930 in Chester, IL, the son of August and Anna (Jany) Marcinkowski. He married Barbara Brown Wathen on July 24, 1970 in Belleville, IL and she survives of Chester, IL.
Also surviving are eight children, Adam Marcinkowski and Julie Wathen both of Chester, IL, Rebecca Carriel, Cynthia Jackson and Barbie Westerheide all of Belleville, IL, Wally Wathen of Steeleville, IL, Kimberly Helbig of Smithton, IL, and Pamela Lopez of Jackson, NJ. Three siblings, Bertha Mae Blechle and Roger Marcinkowski both of Chester, IL and Bettie Prost of Belleville, IL. 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm Wednesday, January 9, 2013 and from 7:30am to 10:30am Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL.
A Funeral Mass for 82 year old Charles "Charlie" Marcinkowski will be at 11am Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, IL with Father Gene Wojcik officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School in Chester, IL or in the form of Masses.
