Wilbert "Wib" Eggemeyer
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 25, 2012 for 95 year old Wilbert "Wib" Eggemeyer of Chester, IL who passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Chester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Chester, IL.
Wilbert was born March 18, 1917 in Walsh, IL, the son of Eddie and Minnie (Hapke) Eggemeyer. He married Virginia Ebers on June 11, 1949 in Osceola, AR and she preceded him in death on September 2, 2000.
Survivors include two children, Gary R. Eggemeyer and Janice Korando both of Chester, IL. One brother, Louis Eggemeyer of Arizona. Three sisters, Olinda Wagner of Chester, IL, Darlne Clausen of Clearwater, MO and Ruby Young of Granite City, IL. 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm Monday, September 24, 2012 and after 7:30am Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL.
Funeral services for Wilbert Eggemeyer will be at 11am Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL with Rev. Mark Willig officiating.
Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Church cemetery in Chester, IL.
Memorials can be made to the general fund or radio fund of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, IL.
