Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 for 93 year old Edward Siemers of Chester, IL who passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, IL.
Edward was born July 16, 1918 in Randolph County, IL, the son of Edward and Leona (Bockhorn) Siemers. He married Mildred Decker on November 10, 1945 in Chester, IL and she preceded him in death on February 13, 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay Berenson of Shelburne Falls, MA and Pam Gonzalez of Greeley, CO. Two sons, Ron Siemers of Houston, TX and Chris Siemers of Sparta, IL. One brother, Elbert Siemers of Red Bud, IL. Dear Friend and Long Time Companion, Ida Sams of Chester, IL. Six grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one sister.
Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm Wednesday, February 8, 2012 and from 7:30am to 9:00am on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL and from 10am to 11am Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bremen, IL.
A funeral service for 93 year old Edward Siemers will be at 11am Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, IL with Rev. Ed Rowley officiating.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
