Funeral service will be Saturday, November 14, 2009 for 69 year old Jerry Wingerter of Rockwood, IL who passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at his home in Rockwood, IL.
Jerry was born March 21, 1940 in Rockwood, IL, the son of Joe Wingerter and Iona (Tindall) Wingerter.
Survivors include his life partner, Patricia Fisher of Rockwood, IL. Six children, Chester and Tracy Wingerter of Percy, IL, Virginia and Alex Clark of Absebon, NJ, James and Kelly Wingerter of Campbell Hill, IL, Sherry and Dan Siefring of W. Harrison, IN, John and Teresa Wingerter of Collinsville, IL and Julie Brooke of Granite City, IL and the mother of his children, Elnore Wingerter of Granite City, IL. Three sisters, Wanda Cashion of Spokane, WA, Marilyn Lawless of Pomona, IL and Opal Mellquham of Martinsville, TN. One brother, Russel Wingerter of Murfreesboro, TN. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 1pm to 3pm Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Wilsonís Funeral Home in Steeleville, IL.
Funeral service for Jerry Wingerter will be at 3pm Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Wilsonís Funeral Home in Steeleville, IL with Rev. Cecil Dunning officiating.
Due to Mr. Wingerterís wishes, cremation will take place; his remains will be buried at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials can be made to St. Joseph Indian School in South Dakota.
