Clarence "Bud" Clay, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 6, 2009 for 83 year old Clarence "Bud" Clay, Jr. of Rockwood, IL, formerly of Granite City, IL, who passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Clarence was born February 17, 1926 in Madison, IL, the son of Clarence and Minnie (Key) Clay, Sr. He married Holly Jackson on July 24, 1948 in Atlanta, IN and she survives of Rockwood, IL.

Also surviving are two daughters, Lynn Kerkhover of Rockwood, IL and Larry Clay. One brother, Floyd "Premo" Clay of Granite City, IL. Two sisters, Barbara "Snooky" Hargrove and Mary "Tiny" Kissel both of Granite City, IL. Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and one sister.

Friends are calling after 9am Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL.

Memorial Service for Clarence Clay, Jr. will be Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 10am at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL.

Burial will be in the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL.
