Funeral services will be Saturday, March 7, 2009 for 80 year old Floyd Taylor of Perryville, MO, formerly of Ellis Grove, IL who passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, IL.
Floyd was born January 11, 1929 in Gideon, MO, the son of Curtis and Margaret (Thackery) Taylor. He married Joyce LaRose on September 16, 1989 in Perryville, MO and she survives.
Also surviving are six children, Connie Marler, Kelly Blankenship, Patty Hoffman, Jenice Albert, Calvin Taylor and Brenda Lorenz. Eight step-children, Roger Cox, Barbara Gowen, Terry Cox, Clyde Cox, Jr., Cynthia Kiefer, Floyd Cox, Tammy Bowles and Kenny Cox. One brother, David Taylor. One sister, Dorothea Beasley. 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, 29 step-grandchildren and 30 step great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, four brothers and four sisters.
Friends are calling from 5pm to 8pm Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL and after 10am Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, IL.
Funeral service for Floyd Taylor will be Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 11am from the First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, IL with Rev. Roger Reid officiating.
Burial will be in the Ellis Grove City Cemetery in Ellis Grove, IL.
