Funeral services will be Saturday, December 20, 2008 for 82 year old Philip Hoffman, Jr. who passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, IL.

Philip was born October 5, 1926 in Keensburg, IL, the son of Philip Sr. and Effie (Gilmore) Hoffman. He married Glennye Noe on February 28, 1953 in Crosstown, MO and she survives of Ellis Grove, IL.

Also surviving are five sons, Barry, Randy and Ricky Hoffman all of Ellis Grove, IL, David and John Hoffman both of Chester, IL. One brother, Charles Hoffman of Belleville, IL. 16 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.

Friends are calling from 5pm to 8pm Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, IL and Saturday, December 20, 2008 from 11am to 1pm at the First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, IL.

Funeral service for Philip Hoffman, Jr. will be Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 1pm from the First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, IL with Rev. Roger Reid officiating. Burial will be in the Ellis Grove City Cemetery in Ellis Grove, IL.
