Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 2, 2007 for 97 year old Nona
Bower of Chester, IL who passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007 at St.
Annís Healthcare Center in Chester, IL.
She was born September 5, 1910 in Vergennes, IL, the daughter of Edward
and Arninda (Bagley) Holliday. She married Shirley Bower on October 10, 1927
in Chester, IL and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1984.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn Bower of Belleville, IL and Bill Bower
of Indiana. Two daughters, Norma Wiscombe of Millstadt, IL and Mary Reed of
Golden, MO. One brother, Kent Holliday of Ava, IL. Three sisters, Hazel
Johnson of Belleville, IL, Louise Johnson of Cahokia, IL and Billie Holliday
of Belleville, IL. 20 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and one
son in law also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, one
son, two brothers, four sisters, one daughter in law, one son in law and one

Funeral Home in Ava, IL.
Funeral service for Nona Bower will be Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 1pm
from the Wilsonís Funeral Home in Ava, IL with Rev. Jim Easton officiating.
Burial will be in the Bower Cemetery in Ava, IL.

Hospice of Southern Illinois.
