Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 24, 2007 for 100 year old Eleanor Wingerter of Chester, IL who passed away Friday, January 19, 2007 at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville, MO.

She was born August 20, 1906 in Evansville, IL, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Demick) Braun. She married Lenus Wingerter on June 12, 1929 in Chester, IL and he preceded her in death on May 22, 1977.

Survivors include three sons, William Wingerter of Perryville, MO, Donald Wingerter of Chester, IL and Thomas Wingerter of Sparta, IL. Two daughters, Mary Cummins of Ballwin, MO and Margaret Morgan of Evansville, IN. Two daughters in law, Lois Wingerter of Sedalia, MO and Agnes Wingerter of Rockford, MI. 34 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons – Robert & James, two grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends are calling after 5pm Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at the Schroeder McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester, IL.

Funeral services for Eleanor Wingerter will be Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 10am from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, IL with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer, Father Gene Wojcik, Father Romaine Morales C.M. and Father Robert Braun O.M.I. all officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
