Funeral services will be Thursday, December 28, 2006 for 91 year old
Rudolph Shemonic of Perryville, MO, formerly of Chester, IL who passed away
Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville,
He was born November 16, 1915 in Chester, IL, the son of John and Sadie
(Harmon) Shemonic. He married Anna Surman on August 22, 1940 in Chester, IL
and she preceded him in death on February 2, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Shemonic of Perryville, MO and Eugene
Shemonic of Pinckneyville, IL. Two brothers, Elmer and Roger Shemonic both
of Steeleville, IL. Two sisters, LaVerne Hogan of Los Angeles, CA and Clara
Brewer of Baldwin, IL. Five grandchildren, three step grandchildren, 11
great grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren and one great great
grandchild also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, two brothers
and one great great great grandson.
Friends are calling from 5pm to 8pm Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the
Schroeder McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester, IL.
Funeral services for Rudolph Shemonic will be Thursday, December 28, 2006
at 10am from the Schroeder McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester, IL with Father
Leo Hayes officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in
Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association, American
Heart Association, Chester Eagles Aerie #3252 or in the form of Masses to
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, IL.
