Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2005 for 28 year old Matthew Reiman of Chester, IL who passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at his residence in Chester, IL.

He was born on March 14, 1977 in Chester, IL, the son of Elliott and Susan (Runge) Reiman. Matthew was baptized at the First United Methodist Church in Chester, IL.

While in high school, Matthew was a member of the varsity football and track teams, lettering in both for three consecutive years. He graduated from CHS in 1995.

In March 1996, Matthew enlisted into the United States Marine Corps where his first tour of duty placed him in Okinawa, Japan. From 1998 to 2001, Matthew served as a Marine Security Guard on Embassy Duty in Tel Aviv, Israel; Brussels, Belgium and Tunis, Tunisia. Her served as an Imagery Intelligence Analyst in Iraq, Kosovo and Bosnia from August 2002 to May 2003.

He married Amanda Mueller on August 6, 2003 in Jacksonville, NC who survives of Chester, IL. Matthew’s passion was his farm in Chester where he and Amanda spent countless hours hunting and fishing with family and friends. He recently found out that he was going to be a father.

Also surviving are his parents both of Chester, IL. Five siblings, Melissa Reiman of San Diego, CA, Mesha Reiman of Orlando, FL, Mynde Reiman of Arlington, VA, Micah Reiman of Fairview Heights, IL and Carollyn Reiman of Fallbrook, CA. Nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and in-laws also survive.

One sister and grandparents preceded him in death.

Friends are calling after 3pm Sunday, May 1, 2005 at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL.

Funeral services for Matt Reiman will be Monday, May 2, 2005 at 11am from St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, IL with Rev. Mark Willig and Pastor Scott Benson officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, IL.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to a Trust Fund for Baby Reiman.
