Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 9, 2004 for 91 year old James Maes of Chester, IL who passed away Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, IL.

He was born March 10, 1913 in Wellston, MO, the son of Louis and Anna (Postman) Maes. He married Velma Shemonic on July 21, 1937 in Chester, IL and she survives of Chester, IL.

Also surviving is one daughter, Joyce Wingerter of Florissant, MO. One brother, Art Maes of Chester, IL. Three sisters, Evelyn York of Ellis Grove, IL, Florence Ott of New Athens, IL and Romana Lofink of Granite City, IL.

Six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, four brothers and two sisters.

Friends are calling after 4pm Monday, November 8, 2004 at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL.

Funeral Mass for James Maes will be Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at 11am at St. Maryís Catholic Church in Chester, IL with Father Allen Maes and Msgr. Dennis Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
