Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13, 2004 for 85-year-old Charles
Suhre of Chester, IL who passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at St. Ann’s
Healthcare Center in Chester, IL.
Born April 19, 1918 in Riley Lake, IL, the son of Ernest and Louise (Burgert)
Suhre. He married Marie Schulein on May 8, 1943 in Evansville, IL and she
preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Marvin Suhre of Ellis Grove, IL. One daughter,
Carol Kueker of Steeleville, IL. One brother, Vernon Suhre of Ellis Grove,
IL. Two sisters, Alby Wieneke of Hardin, IL and Mary Wieneke of Brussels,
IL. Five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, one great grandson and four
step great grandchildren also survive.
His parents, wife, four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Friends are call after 4pm Friday, March 12, 2004 at the Schroeder
McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester, IL.
Funeral service for Charles Suhre will be Saturday, March 13, 2004 at
10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis Grove, IL with Deacon Al
DuBois officiating. Burial will be in the Ellis Grove City Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis Grove,
Disabled American Veterans, American Heart Association, King’s House
Retreat or in the form of Masses.
A Rosary Service will be held at 3:30pm Friday, March 12, 2004 at the
Schroeder McClure Funeral Chapel.
