Funeral services will be Saturday, February 7, 2004 for 85 year old Elmer
Alms of Chester, IL who passed away Sunday, February 1, 2004 at Three
Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, IL.
Born April 14, 1918 in Willisville, IL, the son of Ed and Christine Alms.
After the death of his mother, Elmer was raised by William and Anna Alms. He
married Loretta Heinks on October 19, 1946 in Chester, IL and she survives
of Chester, IL.
Also surviving is one daughter, Joyce Schebaum of Herman, MO and one son,
James Alms of Chester, IL. Six grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
Friends may call after 4pm Friday, February 6, 2004 at the Welge Pechacek
Funeral Home in Chester, IL.
Funeral services for Elmer Alms will be Saturday, February 7, 2004 at
11am at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL with Rev. Mark Willig
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the radio fund of St. John Lutheran Church or to
St. John Lutheran School.
