Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2004 for 57 year old
Jerry R. McIntyre of Chester, IL who passed away Saturday, December 25, 2004
at Chester Memorial Hospital.
Born December 30, 1946 in Sparta, IL, the son of Albert and Mildred
(Ledbetter) McIntyre. He married Glenda Webb on April 24, 1970 in Percy, IL
and she preceded him in death.
Surviving is a daughter, Tracy Mallery of Carbondale, IL; a son, Kenny
Ray McIntyre of Percy, IL; two grandchildren, Brett Mallery and Dillon
Mallery; his mother, Mildred McIntyre of Sparta, IL; a brother, Marvin
McIntyre of Alhambia, IL; four sisters, Edith Buchanan of Stewart, IA,
Alberta Buchanan of Fenton, MO, Janice Martin of Belleville, IL, and Lucy
McIntyre of Whittier, CA.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Byron McIntyre..
He was a U. S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was a coal mine
laborer, and a member of American Legion Post 480 in Steeleville and the
National Rifle Association.
Visitation Tuesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday from 7:30 to 11
a.m. at Wilsonís Funeral Home in Steeleville. An American Legion service
will take place Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Jerry R. McIntyre will be Wednesday, December 29,
2004 at 11am from Wilsonís Funeral Home in Steeleville, IL with Rev.
Timothy McIntyre officiating.
Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville. Memorials to Cancer
Treatment Center in Carbondale.
